BINGHAMTON A newly appointed ad hoc committee will host presentations and get updates on natural gas issues from local, state and federal regulatory agencies, said Daniel D. Reynolds, chairman of the Broome County Legislature.
The committee, appointed by Reynolds, a Vestal Democrat, includes three Broome County legislators: Majority Leader Gene LaBare, an Endicott Democrat, and the committee's chairman; Minority Leader Jerry Marinich, a Town of Chenango Republican; and Steve Herz, a Windsor Democrat.
Two residents appointed to the committee are Christopher W. Burger, a former Broome legislator, now chairman of the Binghamton Regional Sustainability Coalition and a member of the Broome County Environmental Management Council; and Robert Williams of Barnes-Williams Environmental Services, LLC of Binghamton. Williams has experience in environmental assessment and impact work as well as permitting and environmental compliance monitoring for energy development company projects.
