Status on Thompson Bill

The Thompson Bill (S8129) that suspends the ability of the DEC to approve permits for Marcellus Shale wells until June 1, 2011 is on the Assembly calendar, but the Assembly has adjourned for the summer. The Senate has to come back to finalize the budget and may take up the bill, which is in the Rules Committee. Sources say the Governor would likely veto any moratorium bill that reaches his desk
