CURRENT DRBC GUIDELINES HOW WATER WITHDRAWAL AND PERMITING IS CURRENTLY INTERPETED

Quote -from another forum--
The drbc consists of 5 sitting members from NY, NJ, PA, Delaware and the Army Corps of Engineers.2. It is Federal in scope.3. Unlike the SRBC which can establish criteria for approving a permit, each DRBC docket must have a public hearing. So, under the current rules, EVERY water usage docket must have a public hearing with a comment period. If I am not mistaken, Stone Energy's docket has been in the works since late fall of 2008. Now consider the land mass of the DRBC area and the number of dockets that will need to be processed, either the DRBC commissioners are going to have to give up their government posts, or the docketing process will take years before a driller's docket is logged, publicly presented, commented on etc. etc.A never ending scroll of red tape
